Challenge Robotics

Dig into the world of robotics with FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Challenge!

Unlock your child’s potential with our FIRST LEGO League Challenge class! In this exciting and hands-on program, students will work together to dive deep into the world of engineering design. They’ll face real-world challenges that spark their creativity and hone their critical thinking skills as they develop innovative solutions to the problems they encounter. Experience collaboration and learning in an environment that fosters imagination and authentic problem-solving.

With the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robotics kit at their fingertips, students will design, build, and code their own robots to complete challenge missions based on this season’s theme: UNEARTHED. This theme inspires students to uncover the past as they explore underground sites and think of ways to preserve and learn from the hidden history beneath our feet. Full details for the UNEARTHED season will be released in August.

Benefits of FLL Challenge

  • Engaging Challenges: Students will design, build, and code robots to complete missions and solve real-world problems.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Working in teams, students will learn to communicate effectively, collaborate, and support each other.
  • STEM Learning: Through hands-on activities, students will deepen their understanding of science, technology, engineering, and math concepts.
  • Core Values: Students will embody the FIRST Core Values of Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Teamwork, and Fun.

Opportunities for Recreation and Competition Robotics

  • Recreation teams will participate in our in-house robotics competition in December, where they will participate in an informal “pit interview” with a panel of reviewers and engage in a friendly competition against our other teams. It’s an exciting event that showcases their hard work and celebrates their achievements.
  • Competition teams will take part in regional tournaments and complete the FLL Innovation Project, where they design an innovative solution to a real-world problem linked to the UNEARTHED theme. *Please take a moment to review the essential document below for important details about being part of a competition team.

Join us as we unearth big ideas in the world of robotics and beyond!
