Push boundaries and build skills with VEX Robotics Competition (V5RC)!
Join a VEX Robotics Competition (V5RC) team and experience the next level of robotics! V5RC is a team-based engineering program where students take on real-world challenges through competitive robotics.
Team members work together to design, build, and program advanced robots using metal parts, sensors, and powerful motors. Along the way, they gain hands-on experience in mechanical design, coding, strategy development, and iterative problem-solving.
With the VEX V5 Robotics System in hand, students will design, build, and program competitive robots to take on this season’s official game: PUSHBACK. Using metal components, motors, sensors, and programming, teams will strategize and innovate to complete game-specific tasks and outscore their opponents in head-to-head matches. PUSHBACK challenges students to think critically, adapt quickly, and apply engineering principles in real-time competition
Advanced Engineering: Students will design, build, and program metal robots using sensors, motors, and controllers, gaining real-world mechanical and coding experience.
Team-Based Problem Solving: Working in small teams, students learn collaboration, leadership, and how to navigate complex design and strategy decisions together.
STEM Skill Development: Students strengthen their understanding of engineering, computer science, and math through hands-on, competitive projects.
College and Career Readiness: Participation in VEX opens doors to scholarship opportunities, boosts college applications, and builds confidence in high-demand technical skills.
High-Energy Competitions: Students compete in official VEX Robotics events, where they apply what they’ve built and learned in a fast-paced, exciting environment.
Competition teams will take part in official regional VEX Robotics tournaments, where they will test their robots, compete in head-to-head matches, and work toward qualifying for state and national events. Teams will also engage in engineering documentation and team interviews, gaining experience in communication and technical presentation.
